Michael Jackson achieved worldwide super-stardom, selling millions of records and topping musical charts in the 1970's, 80's and 90's, and received two Hollywood stars in sign of recognition of significance of his musical and artistic contribution.

Michael Jackson bought the publishing company Famous Music which was owned by Viacom, reports NME.
By doing this Jackson comes in possession of some of the biggest modern songs, including such hits by Eminem as "Without You" and "The Real Slim Shady." In fact, the transaction involves the transfer of compositions by Bjork, Shakira, Beck and other performers.
This transaction is an extremely important development for Sony / ATV Music Publishing (a major publisher, which cooperates with Jackson). Famous Music catalogue is long and includes both classic tracks of all times, as well as the current hits.
Michael Jackson, along with Famous Music Sony / ATV Music Publishing is the owner of the rights to the so-called "Northern Songs Catalogue", which includes 180 songs The Beatles.
